DIA FavouriteKrista BaroniDIA (LA)Dia is the project of Danielle Birrittella, a performer-composer whose ethereal compositions teeter between bright-eyed and sparse, haunting folk. Her upcoming EP, Tiny Ocean, opts to feature a baroque pop sound informed by her classical training, incorporating vocals pedals to modulate her voice alongside an opulent array of serpentine layers.
*This is a special event and will start at 7pm sharp!* -Listening Event- "Contour of the vase, of the rose a silhouette offers the same profile The practice may fade but remains in tact "An empty apartment" life is life - nothing more, nothing less. Patient and committed Valentine Sinclair's newest release walks the listener through meditations on the abstract, concrete, and esoteric themes of transformation. Employing recurrent sounds to emphasize this idea, each nuanced piece seamlessly lends to the former & vice verse accumulating to form a well rounded structure. This extensive effort of a body of work realized over the course of eight months - three seasons "Metamorphosis" is a deep immersive listen that aptly exhibits the growth and maturing nature of the project. Recorded in Providence, RI 2015-2016." Clandestine Compositions 11

SPECIAL TIKI COCKTAIL NIGHT mixed and mastered by Catherine Mary Hood. Boomkat described RETRIBUTION BODY's recent Type LP release Aokigahara as "revealing a rarified grasp of low end frequency manipulation on a par with the likes of Earth, Sunn 0))) or Phill Niblock", and Brainwashed.com said "Matthew Azevedo's singular drone performance/bass tone study has already drawn favorable comparisons to artists like Sunn O))) and Earth, but I actually see it much more in line with more formal electronic composers like Eliane Radigue, as it has a chiseled purity to it that feels very different than amplifier-worship (at times, anyway). That said, Aokigahara is still quite heavy."
