Established in 2006, Machines with Magnets hosts experimental music performances, sound and art exhibitions and installations, performance art, film and video screenings, cultural and community events, private events, and fundraisers. Past performances include The Body, Dan Deacon, Mirah, Etran de l'Aïr, Braveyoung, Lydia Lunch, Lightning Bolt, Brown Bird, Container, and Mdou Moctar.

Machines with Magnets Studio is proud to welcome renowned percussionist
CHRIS CORSANO! Chris Corsano is a drummer from New England, United States. He often performs in an improvisation duo with saxophonist Paul Flaherty. He has also recorded material with artists such as Evan Parker, Dredd Foole,Sunburned Hand of the Man, Six Organs of Admittance, Kim Gordon, Thurston Moore, Matt Valentine, Nels Cline,Vibracathedral Orchestra, Cold Bleak Heat, Jim O'Rourke, Jandek, Michael Flower, and C. Spencer Yeh as well releasing numerous solo recordings. With local performers:
HOUSE RED (vocals and electronics by Rebecca Mitchell of Made in Mexico, Whore Paint, and Houseboy), ALEXANDER DUPUIS and ADAM MOROSKY (live-manipulated digital video and modular synthesizer), LUKE MOLDOF (Brown University PhD candidate in electronic music, releases on Hospital Productions), and
DOUBLE DRAGON (Drums and trumpet duo of Joe & Sean from Honda Civic). DJ PARTY TOM starts at 8:00pm / performances at 9:00pm.

Machines with Magnets welcomes Third Man Records artists ESSENTIAL TREMORS (Nashville TN). Essential Tremors is something of an anomaly in a city steeped in twang, bathed in sunshine and besieged with hootenannies. With local support from:

MWM is proud to host one of the most exciting electronic post-punk bands of New York: WETWARE - Equally captivating and disorienting, Wetware is an unpredictable duo comprised of vocalist Roxy Farman and synthesist Matthew Morandi, also known for his work as Jahilyya Fields. A constantly shape-shifting, confrontational, trance-inducing band not to be missed. Highly recommended. With local support from: VALERIE MARTINO - Shedding her old moniker, UNICORN HARD ON, after the recent release of her 2nd LP. GOBBY - "I think his real name is Gobby... WT is the spiritual practice of post-Internet, consumer society. WT uses both digital and physical means to create shared, multi-sensory experiences, in an effort to subvert pervasive cultural beliefs." Vlady Voz Tok & Mag Ne Ta accompanied by Kim Fatale. SPREADERS - Hudson Valley NY-based noise and performance soloist, utilizing synthesizers, tape, guitar, and percussive manipulation. BLOOD FLAMES - Electro-psychedelic noise ensemble of guitars, synthesizers, theremin, and vocals. With local support from: DOMESTIQUE - Noise performance with domestic appliances and themes by Ricky Katowicz, LONGPIG - Harsh electronics, cello, and vocals featuring members of KINTAAN, SUFFERING BASTARD, WHITE LOAD, & VOMIT ARSONIST
